L\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke devait faire d\u00e9molir une dalle de b\u00e9ton int\u00e9rieure existante dans le pavillon de la Facult\u00e9 des sciences afin de pr\u00e9parer les fondations d\u2019une nouvelle extension. Ce qui semblait \u00eatre une d\u00e9molition de routine s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00eatre un probl\u00e8me complexe : la dalle existante \u00e9tait beaucoup plus \u00e9paisse et plus lourdement arm\u00e9e que ne le laissaient pr\u00e9sager les plans. Voici comment notre \u00e9quipe s\u2019est adapt\u00e9e, a respect\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9ch\u00e9ancier et a livr\u00e9 une plateforme de fondation propre, pr\u00eate pour le prochain entrepreneur.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

1. \u00c9valuation du site et conditions impr\u00e9vues<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Avant le d\u00e9but des travaux, notre \u00e9quipe a analys\u00e9 les plans structuraux disponibles et coordonn\u00e9 l\u2019acc\u00e8s avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe des installations de l\u2019universit\u00e9. Les premi\u00e8res coupes ont toutefois r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 diff\u00e9rente : la dalle contenait plusieurs couches superpos\u00e9es d\u2019armature qui n\u2019\u00e9taient indiqu\u00e9es sur aucun plan. Nous avons donc interrompu les travaux, r\u00e9\u00e9valu\u00e9 les charges et ajust\u00e9 notre m\u00e9thode de d\u00e9molition afin de retirer la dalle de fa\u00e7on s\u00e9curitaire, sans compromettre la structure environnante.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

2. D\u00e9molition lourde en soir\u00e9e et de nuit<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Comme le b\u00e2timent demeurait en activit\u00e9 durant la journ\u00e9e, la majeure partie des travaux de d\u00e9molition a \u00e9t\u00e9 planifi\u00e9e en soir\u00e9e et de nuit. La dalle fortement arm\u00e9e a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 l\u2019utilisation de brise-roches hydrauliques plus puissants, de s\u00e9quences de coupe contr\u00f4l\u00e9es et d\u2019un retrait continu des d\u00e9bris afin de maintenir une zone de travail s\u00e9curitaire pour l\u2019\u00e9quipe suivante. Le travail hors des heures normales a permis de prot\u00e9ger le personnel et les \u00e9tudiants, tout en respectant l\u2019\u00e9ch\u00e9ancier du projet.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

3. Excavation pour les nouvelles fondations<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Une fois la dalle retir\u00e9e, l\u2019\u00e9quipe est pass\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019excavation. Les conditions restreintes \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du b\u00e2timent exigeaient l\u2019utilisation d\u2019\u00e9quipements compacts, une gestion rigoureuse des d\u00e9blais et des v\u00e9rifications constantes des \u00e9l\u00e9vations. Chaque excavation a \u00e9t\u00e9 valid\u00e9e selon les plans structuraux du nouvel agrandissement, afin que le corps de m\u00e9tier suivant puisse couler les semelles avec une pleine confiance envers la qualit\u00e9 du sol de fondation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

4. Installation de la tuyauterie et des services<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Les services souterrains, le drainage, les manchons et les conduits utilitaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9s et raccord\u00e9s aux syst\u00e8mes existants avant le remblayage. Une bonne s\u00e9quence d\u2019installation \u00e0 cette \u00e9tape permet d\u2019\u00e9viter de devoir rouvrir la dalle plus tard et assure une meilleure coordination avec les \u00e9quipes m\u00e9caniques et \u00e9lectriques du b\u00e2timent.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

5. Remblayage et remise du site<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

La phase finale consistait \u00e0 effectuer un remblayage structur\u00e9, par couches compact\u00e9es, autour des nouvelles fondations. Chaque couche a \u00e9t\u00e9 v\u00e9rifi\u00e9e avant la mise en place de la suivante, afin de cr\u00e9er une base stable et bien drain\u00e9e pour l\u2019agrandissement. Le site a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 nettoy\u00e9, s\u00e9curis\u00e9 et remis \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9, pr\u00eat pour la prise en charge par l\u2019entrepreneur en structure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
